TEREZA ANGELA FOLETTO
THEREZA ANGELA FOLETTO recebeu seu nome em homenagem a sua mãe e avó paterna que tinham o mesmo nome dela. Ela nasceu no dia 20 de Fevereiro de 1918 na residência de seus pais localizada em Linha Bonito, distrito de Soledade e comarca de Passo Fundo no Rio Grande do Sul. Filha de JOÃO FOLETTO
SPAGNOLO e TEREZA ANGELA TURCATTO. O certificado de nascimento foi registrado por seu pai João Foletto e por não sabia ler, o registro foi assinado por seu avô paterno MIGUEL ARCANGELO FOLETTO. (doc1).
Thereza Angela Foletto casou-se no civil com o descendente de alemão ALFREDO JAHN no dia 28 de julho de 1939 no primeiro distrito de Sobradinho, estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Ele era filho de João Jahn e Helena Dreckler. Documento informa que já tinham um filho de nome Laudelino Jahn nascido dia 01 de Dezembro de 1938. (doc2). Busca da licença de casamento religioso ainda não foi pesquisada, porem tudo indica que deve estar disponível no ano aproximado de 1937.
Tereza Angela e Alfredo tiveram o total de seis filhos sendo: Edemar, Valdemar, Laudelino (1938), Romildo (1943), Romilda e Romeu (1940).
Ela faleceu com idade de 78 de idade no dia 15 de Maio de 1996, sem assistência médica na sua residência na Rua Princesa Isabel 122, Bairro São Miguel na cidade de Planalto no Rio Grande do Sul. Declarante Volmir Antônio Jahn informa estado civil da mesma como viúva. (doc3)

INITIAL REPORT
Goal
Finding unknown immigrants-ancestors from client since they arrived in Brazil from Italy.
Report
The goal of this research report is to find all vital records (baptism, birthday, marriage and death certificate) from client unknown ancestors that migrated to Brazil in unknown time. All records would be used to apply to get his Italian Citizenship.
Documents provided
Client presented his father civil birthday certificate that shows the full name of his parent and paternal-maternal grandparents. Moreover, according with client testimony, he informed that a possible parent’s residential location could be in the district of SOBRADINHO that is in the state of RIO GRANDE DO SUL in BRAZIL.
FINDINGS
THEREZA ANGELA FOLETTO was named after her mother and parental grandmother. She was born on 20 Feb 1918 in the residence of her parents located in Linha Bonito. Birthday certificate was registered by her father, JOÃO FOLETTO in the Public Notary of Soledade County, Passo Fundo District, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on book 6, number backside of page 88, order 220 in 21 Feb 1918. Because her father, João Foletto, did not know how to read, her grandfather ARCANGELO FOLETTO signed certificate. There is no information about grandparents origins.
PARENTS OF THEREZA ANGELA FOLETTO
According with his birth certificate, JOÃO FOLETTO was born at 4 am in 16 Jun 1890 on the residence of his father, ARCANGELO FOLETTO, located in section of Vale Veneto, Silveira Martins, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. His grandparents from father side were ANTONIO and ANGELA FOLETTO, and his maternal grandparents were EUGENIO and LUIGIA SPAGNOL. Registration done in the backside of page 97, number 586 on 18 Jun 1890 from the Civil Public Notary book of ex-colony of Silveira Martins, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. His father also declared that he was a farmer and natural of Italy. Joao's father signed his certificate.
JOÃO FOLETTO married THEREZA TURCATO on 14 April 1917 as mentioned in their marriage civil certificate on page 177, item 172 from Public Notary book number 3 Soledade (before Sobradinho), District of Passo Fundo, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil by judge of peace Lindolpho da Silva Costa. JOÃO FOLETTO was 28 years older (born in 16 Jul 1890) and declared to be a farmer. Witnesses presented were Jose Carlotto and Jose Bento d'Avila. Additionaly, it is informed that both did not know how to read or write and because of that the certificate was signed by GIUSEPPE FOLETTO (João's brother) and João Corte. In this same register has a note about Joao Foletto death certificate that was on 19 Oct 1970. More importantly, his father ARCANGELO FOLETTO’s birthday was mentioned being in 14 April 1854.
At 19 Oct 1970 with age of 80, JOÃO FOLETTO died of heart illness. Registration was made by his son, Alexandre Foletto on Public Notary of Soledade City in State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in page 23 order 4841, book number 12C (1970-1972). Death certificate mentioned that his parents, ARCANGELO FOLETTO e THEREZA SPAGNOLA were deceased and natural of Italy. Also, according with death registration, João Foletto did not leave Known testament but had assets and eight adult children. His body was boried in cemetery of Arroio Bonito.
GRAND-FATHER OF THEREZA ANGELA FOLETTO
ARCANGELO FOLETTO came to Brazil by a steamship named "Berlin" that took more than three months to arrive in Brazil. The steamship Berlin departured from Genova, Italy in 3 September of 1882 and arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 15 Dec 1882 with a total of 1315 passengers that represented a total of 483 families. Arcangelo's family was family number 274 and passenger number 722 as mentioned on backside of page 26 from the list of Italian passengers in board of steamship Berlin. The family members were ARCANGELO (28 years old), his wife ANGELA "B"ranghetto (28 years old), his daughter ASSUNTA (4 years old) and ROSA (1y6m old). His first wife, Angela Branghetto died on the way to Brazil on 2 Dec 1882 that was 13 days before arrival in Brazil. Coincidently, his future second wife, TEREZA SPAGNOLA, also was in this same steamship. Tereza was 17 years old at that time. Tereza's family was family number 408 and passenger number 1156 on backside of page 40 from the list of Italian passengers on board of steamship Berlin.
Besides Arcangelo family, his father ANTONIO FOLETTO also migrated to Brazil as we can see on family number 295/296 and passenger number 772/773 on backside of page 27 from the list of Italian passengers on board of steamship Berlin. The family members were ANTONIO (66 years old), his daughter SANTA (17 years old) and his son ANTONIO (11 years old).
